Imagine that you can see five years into the future. What is your life like, personally and professionally? Where are you living? Who are you with? What have you accomplished?

...Eating shaved ice as I think of what to write.......
--
I would think to see myself working in some field of Computer Science and Technology. My life would probably start off in a apartment in one of 3 States... Nebraska, Iowa or California. It will depend on which College I'll go to. My mom wants me to go to UNK for 2 years... Dad wants me to go to California for college. I would like to be in one of those 3 states after Graduation from College. [..this ice is good.....] I will probably be by myself until my life and Job are stabilized. I would think that I would enjoy my job since I really like to work with computers both data-wise and physically. A House is where I will be once I'm comfortable with finance. That is my "Future view" if I get that far then I will have accomplished one of my long range goals.
Anyway. I see myself either working one or more jobs. A teacher, performer(music), a music teacher (ooo original...), working at a culanry institute, or maybe even a video editor!!! I have no idea right now, so that is why I am taking as many classes as possible in high school. Of course I would have to attend college first. I would probably stay here in Nebraska, or go to either Arizona or a place with cooking classes. (IDK where some are...) Until I had enough money and a stable job, I would stay in an apartment and get a house later. I would probably be by my lonesome self still because I can get distracted easily...I would like to not fail any of my college classes. Even now I stare off into space during class sometimes. (This is not saying that I'm a student that doesn't get work done on time or anything else like that!) If I could even get one of the professions I listed, that would accomplish one of many long term goals I have.
Wow it took me almost an hour to type this...probably because I had a movie going at the same time...ha!
Five years from now I will be attending the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I will most likely be majoring in biomedical research or engineering. I will be working as an intern in a local lab helping develop new pharmaceuticals and alternate energies. I have already published many journals based on my ideals that have become widely popular in the scientific community. I am considered a prodigy by many and all of my projects are highly anticipated. I will be recieving a sizeable percentage of the profit from my inventions, so by that time I will already have a decent sized condo. I will definitely have 2 pet dogs, a boxer and a bulldog, but the future hasn't decided if I want the hassle of a girlfriend during such hectic times. So, that's a basic glimpse of what my life will be like 5 years from now.
...We were supposed to write this as if we already know what are lives will be like in 5 years right?....Hope so
In five years I plan to be finishing up college at the University of Iowa, in Iowa City, and preparing to go to medical school for my medical degree. After med school I want my career to be in Radiation Oncology. I don't really know where I would want to live. Maybe in a town bigger then Kearney bu nowhere like New York or Chicago. I would live in an apartment by myself or with someone I met in medical school who wanted to go to the same place I did. After I pay off my student lones and make enough money then I will buy a house and maybe start a family. If not then I will at least get a pet (most likly a penguin or platypus). Then I will save money for retirement and some extra so I can travel.
Hmmm... Five years from now I see myself as a college student at Colorado State University studying double majors of vetrenarian medicine as well as equestrian medicine (horses). I plan to work as an intern at a vet clinic. As for Personally I don't really plan on getting married untill after I have earned my degree and landed myself a steady job. I'll probably live in a small apartment with a great view of the mountains. I would like to have more than one job so I'm actually capable of paying for school. I could also possibly see myself as a massage therepist with my own studio that i could sell my artwork in.... But we'll see!!
wow you guys have already started to sidetrack on your comments (adam and dan)
In five years, I'm pretty sure I'll be at a four-year college somewhere (undecided) still working towards a doctorate, eventually. I'm not sure what I'll be studying yet, but probably something math or science related, maybe engineering of some kind (sorry, Mrs. S). Because I'm a geek, my life will pretty much be either studying or working, with some scocial life. Most likely, I'm going to be living either in a dorm or renting a place with some friends. What I've accomplished by then is probably graduated from college and having enough money somehow to pay for college. Since I want a doctorate degree, this has a big chance of being my life for the next ten years or so.
Sorry if there's any typos. Question: Do these journal assignments get graded on formality and other writing traits?
In 5 years, I am in college earning an engineering degree in either aerospace engineering or chemical engineering with an emphasis in chemotherapy. I am also involved in the college orchestra or community orchestra, whichever one is avaliable to me, since I'm not majoring in music. The college is close to Nebraska, but at least out of state. Wyoming, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, etc. I'm a busy person, but happy and confident in myself and what I'm doing. If I'm not, I'll have confidence to do what I think I need to do for myself. I'll have close friends who will support me and are fun to hang out with, but also understand the important things in my life, which will probably be school and music. Nothing new... I'd like to be living somewhere with access to a shower, stove/microwave (aka nuking device), and a place to sleep. Either a couch or bed. Haven't thought of that too much. I won't be married, because I'm going to wait until I graduate to do so. Maybe dating, maybe not. I have found more of myself and created more of myself. I am willing to learn from others smarter than me, and am also willing to share my ideas.
I hope that's how it's done. Of course, all of my future is subject to change at my discretion.
Let's get one thing clear: I'm NEVER coming back to Nebraska. Ever.
After high school, I plan on going to college either in Chicago or New York. I haven't decided if that will be graduate school though. When you blog your life plans, they look really insignificant. At the moment, I see myself involved in live performances like theatre or professional choirs. Although I plan on living in NYC when I'm grown, I'll probably spend a few years in Chicago to adjust to living alone. I've also thought about pursuing the marketing field of music. Against mother's wishes, I will not be in the UNL Marching Band.... When you type on this thing, its all 'blippy' and 'elementary'. I'm NOT coming back to Kearney. I plan on being rich, famous, loved, hated, and remembered. Amen.
Oh, in regard to what Katelyn said, dating and kids are weird. How else do you put all of your energy into yourself? <--Questions unanswered. You decide.
Well, in contrast to my mothers belief, i will not be attending UNK, living at home, or living in Kearney. I plan to go to college in either Seattle or Chicago. I'm not sure exactly what i want to pursue, but i know that i want to go into the medical field. I plan on being as rich as Godiva Chocolate (according to Keegan). I also plan on traveling quite a bit after school is finished.
You're right Katelyn. Kids aren't weird. Especially when you can lock them up in the dark, leaky cellar with chains.. you can ignore them completely! Lol.
There are many different ways I could see myself five years from now, but I haven't decided which path I want to take yet. My dream is to have a job that I enjoy AND that pays a lot of money, but who doesn't want that? I will probably either be in college for becoming an art teacher, architector, graphic design, industrial design, or meteorology. Yes, the last one was kind of a way off from the others but I just love how interesting the weather is and I'd like to learn more about it. I would probably be living around Nebraska if not in Nebraska. I don't want to get too far away from my family because they are really special to me. Hopefully I will be seeing some rich guy and get married...hopefully, haha. By then I would have completed High School, have some sort of job, own a small appartment and I would probably be finishing my first couple of years in college. Yay. :)
5 years from now wow.. It's hard seeing past tommorow. Well if I had to picture myself five years from now I would want to see myself graduated from college and have a career in fashion. I love art and design. Personally I would hope to have settled down with the right person and live in New York or California. I would imagine that my life would be surrounded by the ones I love and with positive people. I hope that if it was five years from now that I would have accomplished all my goals and dreams leading to some type of work in design or in fashion. It's a big dream but if I work hard I will be possibly if it's the plan (up to the big man in the heavens) be somewhere like this in five years from now...
Five years from now that's a lot to think about. Well I would love to see myself somewhere in the fashion industry. Maybe even have a line with my sister Chels and my mom. Also graduated from college and maybe even have met the one for me.Where I would picture myself living would be in New York.(one of the big fashion cities anyway:)I know that's a lot to ask for but hopefully it will be accomplished. It's going to take tons of work and determination but i'm up for it. Seeing myself, friends, and family is hard seeing five years from now but in some way it will work out.
In 5 years i could see myself living anywhere beside Nebraska. Hopefully somewhere down South.By this time i should be out of high school (if i can pass Honors English III). My plan is to be starting my forth year of college. I have been thinking about different careers but don't know for sure what to go into. I have thought of Engineering or a Architecture. I would be dating but not married untill after schooling. I most likly will have not accomplished anything but would be working on it.
In five years, I would be in my senior year of collage, I am going to lincoln and swimming on the swim team. I am getting my businss degree and I am also studying cooking. On the side I am coaching a swim team, I think it is inportant to teach children to swim just like someone had to do to me. I will also have a boyfriend and we are planning on moving to denver when we graduate. I am going to open my own diner. We will have a dog and a cat. Life looks amazing. i cant wait... but please dont come yet... i still need 5 years to figure out who i am but by then i am hoping to be carefree and living the good life... like shopping alot.
5 years from now...humm lets see... ..Well it’s hard to say were I'll be in 5 years. Hopefully, graduated from high school and going to college for what I want to major in. I’m still not really sure of want I want to do when I grow up. I would like to do something involving animals or sports. I've always thought I wanted to be a vet but now that I'm older, I've realized how much more jobs are out there and that you really have to do what you love because you'll probably be stuck with it for the rest of your life. When I do go to college I hope to get out of Nebraska! I would love to go live on the coast, where it is always warm! Maybe in like Florida or California, or maybe even Texas, who knows! (Where ever the good Lord takes me right!:) I'll probably live in an apartment with some of my friends. As for dating, I wouldn't mind having a boyfriend here and there but nothing to serious until I graduate from college. Along with graduating from high school I would like to accomplish some of my other goals. Such as going to college, owning an apartment, having a decent job to pay rent, follow my dreams and maybe even see the world!:)(haha jk)
You know...traveling more often to see the world would be amazing!!!! I like to come home, but I like to be away also. I seem to learn stuff better if I'm there. Like when Jake and I went to Europe for the Nebraska Ambassadors of Music, we would be learning everything in our text books (plus more) in a day or two and I could actually find it entertaining!!!!
In five years, I plan to have finished my pre-law degree...if that is what I decide to major in. I want to be attending college on the East or West Coast, but I haven't picked a school or a degree for that matter... I find that too many things interest me and I don't know what to major in. I am currently interested in law, global awareness, journalism, and art. If anyone in this class knows of a major that combines all of these things, they should let me know!! :) Maybe I'll become a farmer instead... If I have graduated from college by that time, I hope to be living comfortably in a large city or a small town setting. Once again, it all depends on what occupation I finally decide on. I hope to stabalize a job and own a house. I'm not so sure about how the marrige/kids things will go, but I can only hope for the best! This is my future as best as I can predict it. For now, I enjoy living life day by day! :)
Five years have gone by and here I am attending Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia. I am majoring in psychology with the dream of getting my Ph D. With that Ph D I will go onto to be a professor of psychology for some well-known college. I do not have time for a husband at the moment. After I have got my career on the path I want to take, I will get married and have kids (one or two, but no more). Once I have gotten my Ph D and started my family, I will move to a town no smaller than Kearney. During all of this time, I will be traveling all over the world.
I’m not really sure about any of that, but it is my dream for now!
How does everyone know what they want to do and where they want to go already?
Let me think for a bit.......... Okay, in five years I plan to be nearing the end of my college experience, but I don't know where, yet. Hopefully in California, Colorado, or maybe even right here in good, old Nebraska. (What? I don't hate it here.) I'm thinking that I might want to go into the medical field, either with animals or humans, but who knows? I also want to get a bachelor's, or rather bachelorette's, degree in Spanish. (Is that the highest degree you can get in a foreign language?)I'll probably be living in an appartment, hopefully with some friends, but the whole living solo thing sounds fun, too. Also, this guy I like (we'll call him 'Cal' which is completely fictional, fyi)will show up at the same college as me, and he will realize that he is deeply in love with me and we will live happily ever after (say nothing, those of you who know about whom I'm writing)...Yup, I'm a sap for happy endings.I also want to travel the country ...continent...world... I'll do it all! This should be fun!
For those of you who are wondering about the grading, it is pretty simple: I grade these on content, not on grammar and mechanics. (It is one of the few times you will not be graded on those things!) Each journal is worth 20 pts, and from what I have read so far, you are off to a great start!!! These have been extremely interesting and entertaining to read tonight!
In 5 years I can either see my self going to med school for pediatrics or occupational physical therapy.....I cant really decide which. I would like to be in some kind of relationship but if not its not a big deal (it would make things easier anyway) I would like to go to med school in either omaha or lincoln....maybe even take a year in another country that would be amazing!!! yea thats pretty much where i can see myself in 5 years
Five years from now, I see myself finishing college at either UNK, a christian college, or where ever I can get the best scholarships. If I am attending UNK, I will probably still be living at home (at parents forcing). By then i will hopefully by working at Cindy Jacobs designs in the mall, or any other job outside of the fast food industry (I do not like Sonic). Once I'm done with college I plan to become some kind of interior designer or decorator. As soon as I have a more stable income I plan to have at least one dog, probably a pug, and will possibly be ready to try and start a family. Who knows about he family part though, if my kids would end up anything like my siblings are I definatly do not want to have children. So that's about it.
Five years from now I will hopefully be starting my senior year at a good university (I have no idea where). I will stay in-state unless I get a scholarship (I'ma get that fo sho. Ha). I also have no clue what I will major in, but I'm leaning toward any type of engineering. I would most likely be living in the dorms or a house/apartment on the campus of w/e school it is I will attend. Also, I would love to study abroad for a semester or so. When I complete college, I will most likely be involved in a profession corresponding with my major (w/e the heck that will be). I'm not sure where I will live yet, but I really enjoy the coasts. So, that's pretty much it. Now, I'm gonna go to bed and get my beauty sleep.
Wow, in five years I will probably be studying abroad in Europe. Right now I would be sitting in a little French cafe checking my e-mail on my laptop while simultaneously flirting with the cute guy at the table across from me..Sigh.. they don't make them like that in the states. Oh look.. an e-mail from my mom. She wants to know if I'm coming home for Christmas. Ah home.. such good memories. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was starting 11th grade. Now those were the good old days. I can remember sitting in Mrs. Svoboda's Honors English 3 class and daydreaming about French boys. Oh, that was such a long time ago. High school was great but I was sooo glad to get out and go to college. After entering the Veterinary Science program at K State, I went on to do internships for some of the country's most talented livestock Vets. And then I was some how lucky enough to end up here. Working on my degree and apprenticing at a prestige stable in the French country side.. Sigh.. life is good.
Well, In five years I'll be going to UNL or somewhere north (I enjoy cold weather). I'll be studying either some kind of law or some kind of medical science, either is fine with me. Hopefully I will be with someone, but I can see how that would get in the way of things. I'll probably be distracted anyways.....but yes I will definitely be going to a four year college at least, that much is certain.
Five years into the future I see great things for myself. I will be attending either UCLA or (my favorite) UCSD. I will be living in an off-campus apartment with my close friends or with a boyfriend. Of course I will have two dogs with me. A doberman and a chocolate lab. Things will be going well for me. I will be qat an amazing college, have the greatest friends, and I will be well on track to make the life for myself that I have always dreamed of. Nothing will get in my way. My chosen profession will be in the Medical field because I grew up with a father in the medica field and I always admired that. In my lifetime i will accomplish great things. I plan on living life to the fullest with someone who keeps me being me. Life will be perfect.
In five years i see myself at either UNL or UNO. I will be studying to be either an architect or a chemical engineer. I would be in my second or third year depending on when i start. I'd probably be the same (except with a lot more freedom). I'd probably be living in an apartment with a roommate and paying half the rent. I would be working at some low pay job just to pay for the rent and food(which will be roman noodles and sandwiches). After that i'll find some high paying job where i'll either work outdoors and design things or in some lab trying to find an alternative to gas.

Life will be perfect.
oh and i swear i meant "at" and "medical"... I should have looked at my spelling BEFORE I posted it. sorry
Mrs. Svobieeee!!!! I MISS YOUUUUUUUUU!! That class was way more fun than.... uh... I don't know what. But it was fun. =D I LOVE YOU!
