Gatsby and Daisy remind me of. . . (and other randomly related thoughts that came to my head as I was reading. . .)

Ok JAKE Just read your thinger to me. Actually I was not thinking anything. And yes I would like to Fight, to the death. We will do it in the middle of class. First I will fuel your anger by telling everyone how to use tags and destroy your chance of... whatever.

Gastby seems very laid back at the beginning, he apparently does not like to interfere with anyone in any way. Such as "What day would suit you" "I don't want to put you to any trouble, you see"... then sudden subject change to tall grass, so later he sends someone to cut Nick's Grass. Maybe he want's a good impression on the view of his house when Daisy comes. Nick might be getting what Gastby is looking at and so he tells Daisy to not to bring Tommy. Gastby gets the grass cut and almost forgot about the grass, I think that he is nervous to the point where he wants everything perfect. So he is very nervous, he almost "runs away" as Diasy's arrival got close and tries to change the subject in talk. He notes the exact date from when he last met... 5 years next novamber, He is afraid to be alone with Daisy from the start but I assume he will get to be COmforttable wiht her... as seen in most Movies... A relationship that was not so great at first, that grows... instead here he suddenly changes after Nick states that he is embarrassed and need to act older. I believe he is really happy that Daisy is with him in His house, staring at her and nearly falling down stairs. That much build up after 5 years he held is sorta overspilling... Like practicing a music piece for a year and epic Failing it at the end, the longer something important that builds up, the greater the effect of the outcome. Whether it be good or bad.. nervousness causes epic fail most of the time (for me). Daisy seems pretty much taken by the amazing things she sees, those 2 remind me of like a mother spoiling her daughter...saw it in a movie somewhere... He's focusing on Daisy 99 percent, and needs things to be done his way. Like forcing the piano player... Right now I feel the relation is a little "new". After awhile, I think they will get along pretty nicely. The relation has actually made good progress, because Gasby didn't need Nick's accompany at the end.
Gatsby and daisy remind me of a sixth grade couple. they are both so nervous and it is rather hilarious! gatsby is terribly nervous and trying so hard to not be obvious that he planned this whole meeting. when he told nick that he needed to talk to him and they went into the back room he really reminded me of a young boy that had his friends help him get alone time with a girl. it all is very funny because it is so childish!!
Daisy is just a nervous as Gatsby, but she handles it a little better. she obviously had no idea that he lived across the water and i think that if she would have known that he lived there, they would have been having an affair a long time ago.
Gatsby had a couple of slips that may have been considered stalkerish. like when he said that he could see her house and there is always a green light on his dock. daisy never said that she lived across the river so any other girl might have been a little alarmed. however daisy did not seem to notice this since she is obviously so in love with him.
i am so happy that they are together and there is "something" there! YAY!!!! i love when it all works out! i hope they end up together!!!
So the outline would be like... at least 3 roman numerals with stuffs under it right.
So each would need to be a subject that can't really relate to each other without being under the like numeral... right...
So like if I list characterizations and go into depth with it, it would need to stay it its own cat... but what if I have something linking it, like how it changes others and events... and ALOT of info about it.
Haha! Adam is going to die like everyone else because of the paper...I'm sooooooooo tired right now...zzzzzzzz
I liked the shirt comment!!! It was just so random to me!!! kinda like other things...
Anyway...Gatsby and DAisy remind me of...I'm going to guess that this is tied into "Twilight" in some way....just as a guess.
Gatsby is vry ummmm...shy and clumsy around Daisy, but is glad to hear that she is also embarressed about seeing each other. zzzzzz...Sadie, Leah, Alan, and Bri are over right now so, concentrating is a little hard right now...love them though! Anyway. Gatsby and Daisy seem to get reacquainted while Nick stepped out, and then they are more comfortable around each other. The two are having an awkward??? time together, but at the same time having fun. Then Nick leaves the two again after the tour of Gatsby's house.
I am reminded of "Beauty and the Beast" because there are many awkward feelings in there as the two fall in love. I also think of high school relationships at the beginning of them.
I think I'm catching a cold....maybe I should get more sleep...but then I fail my classes because I didn't do all of the homework or study...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........of course, I'm not the only one in this situation...
Gatsby and Daisy remind me of the first time my boyfriend and I hung out together for the 1st time alone...hahaha kind of, in ways. It was superrrr awkward and we didn't know what to say, but as time went on we were talking about everything and comfortable with each other. They also remind me of the Notebook for some reason. Because when the girl goes back to see him after she saw the house he was just like uhhhhhh idk what to say....and she was like craappppp this is awkwardddddddddd. BUT, then they got it on. :) haha jk sorry that was uncalled for, but it did happen :D hahahaha. I feel like they really are ment for each other and they should hook up. Gatsby can do anything he wants and choses her over any other girl, so she should feel pretty special...I know I would!
As I finished chapter 5 I was going ahhhh...that's so cute! At the same time I wish Daisy would have never married her selfish husband Tom. The circumstances these two individuals have put themselves in is going to be a difficult one. I am happy that they have gotten together again but what is going to happen when Tom finds out? I know he is cheating on her but he seems controling and jealous. No matter what he is doing its not okay if someone does it back to him. I'm just pondering is this going to end in tragedy like ROMEO & JULIET? Is this love story just going to be an epic failure? These were some random thoughts going through my head while reading. Gatsby and Daisy remind me of the characters in the movie "Tristan and Isolde." In this story Tristan was on the other side against Isoldes family. When accidently mistaken for death Isolde finds him. Without knowing who really eachother are they fall in love. This connection of them not knowing reminded me of Daisy not knowing Gatsby lived across the lake from her. Also Tristan and Isoldes loves I compared to Gatsby and Daisy. There was a connection/bond between them that could never be broken, even through war.
Gatsby and Daisy remind me of all the love stories us girls watch and dream of all the time. Gatsby and Daisy's love has lasted the lengths of time. They say when somone leaves or is no longer in your presence your feelings/love grows stronger if its meant to be. This I think kind of happened for Daisy and Gatsby. Their love was never lost, but it was hidden deep down in their hearts. Gatsby and Daisy also made me think of Noah and Allie (The Notebook), Edward and Bella (TWILIGHT), Landon and Jaime (A Walk to Remember), Rudolph and Clarice (Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer), but those are just a few of a fabulous list of love stories. I've got a soft spot for the love stories. Chapter 5 was adorable! It also reminded me of a crush. When you have a crush you have that akward don't know what to say thing going on, but really there is a million things you want to say to that person. That reminded me of Daisy and Gatsby also too because it seemed like from reading the room was going to blow with passion. It was the unspoken passion that made it very akward yet anxiety filled at the same time.
Gatsby and Daisy remind me of a REALLY akward couple. Mostly because that is what they are. They haven't seen each other in ten years, and Gatsby acts like a giddy child whenever he is around her. Daisy seems to have the urge to act the same way as well, but she avoids it because of her natural poise.
I don’t like these Gatsby blogs as much as opposed to the normal ones because we have only one chapter of material to write on. Also, I don’t really know how to finish your sentence so I guess ill make something up and take a different approach.
Gatsby and Daisy remind me of people because, well, they are (there I tried). First of all I’m glad they got together. I thought if they loved each other enough to do all those things like move across the river or consider not getting married then they deserve a second chance. I’m also glad she remembered Gatsby because I was wondering how Daisy could have that type of a relationship with someone and then completely forget about there existence altogether. The way you were talking about it in class the way the book described it didn’t make sense to me how that is possible. I also find it very, very unrealistic (very). Maybe if she had amnesia but otherwise very unrealistic. About the date itself Gatsby said a few things he probably shouldn’t have like him saying where she lives even though she didn’t tell him. She was probably in the moment so much she didn’t even realize what he said she was just glad to be with him. Also on the date I can totally relate to the fact that they were nervous after not seeing each other for five years. I get nervous sometimes when I decide to email or call friends that I haven’t talked to in a couple years. The ones from Belgium, Australia, and various states in America. I’m nervous just calling them not actually meeting them plus its only been a couple years let alone five.
Other things I will comment on are things like the call from Detroit. I’m going to comment by saying I’m not going to comment because there is something going on there and if I were to guess I would be way off so I’ll leave it at that. Also about the shirt comment: wasn’t very funny. It was kind of disappointing because when you were talking about it you made it sound like it was pretty good but really it was just: blah. (skimming, skimming) Oh yeah, why was his house all lit up because what I thought was he put up Christmas lights or something? (skimming) Nope nothing else.
Chapter 5 remained me of White Christmas, because Gatsby and Daisy have that old love that is in White Christmas. When I was reading I randomly thought of how some people think they can not be loved. How they are not capable of being loved. Oh and how one day last year two garden gnomes showed up in my garage randomly one day.
Wow...you guys (girls, actually) are pretty ridiculous. The whole thing with the moving close to Daisy was bad enough. But you all made this chapter out to be much more than it is. Yeah, it's "cute" that they got back together and they're all embarassed. But this has got nothing on The Notebook. :P hahaha. And I can say all this and none of you will read it because you're all at *Twilight*
Anyway, I'll stop being so harsh (about this chapter, not the moving thing). It did remind me of a middle school or even young high school relationship. However, I do think that you could probably find actions and feelings like this at the beginning of almost any relationship. My favorite part was definitely when Nick basically told Gatsby to grow some kahunas. That was classic, especially coming from a lower-class, less popular guy like Nick. But I'm actually glad these two lovebirds got reacquainted. I just hope it doesn't get ugly if/when Tom finds out...
JWVOTD sautsaf
BTW If you see the JWVOTD thing at the bottom, then it's me (Jake). Unless some imposter gets on here...
Gatsby and Daisy remind me of 2 middleschoolers that have just revealed their crushes for eachother. It was so awkward, it made me feel embarrassed just reading it, which says alot for Fitzgerald's writing I guess.
Then later after they began to feel more comfortable around eachother...they reminded me of the "we're so into eachother, we completely forget about everyone else" couple. I think those couples should avoid going out in public, just to save everyone else the risk of insanity.
Also...We find out Gatsby used to be in the "drug" business (pharmaceutical or narcotics?)and possibly wants to get Nick involved with Mr. Wolfwhatever. Yay!...spare me the romance, drug wars and drive-by's all the way!
Hmm...what else, uhhhh...nothing 16 pages of blahhh, time to spice it up
Prediction: Gatsby has his henchmen assasinate Tom, but as a result gets life in prison. Daisy becomes a prison wife and inherits Gatsby's estate. Nick is unhappily married to Jordan but is the newly appointed Godfather. (Goodfellas was on HBO)
ok first thing i have to say is twilight was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! a few hiccups but really really good!!!
sorry about that gatsby and daisy remind me of edward and bella!! kinda but not really
they are all weird and cute and cute and stuff awwww!!!! and the shirt line is the funniest thing in the whole book sorry about all the randomness
i love how gatsby is all trying to make sure everything is perfect everywhere that they might go and its kinda funny that nick stands in the rain for an hour waiting for it to stop raining so they can have alone time....ow ow!!!! lol jk
i had a red bulls well more like 3 or 4 and im between the crash and the high hehe
Gatsby and Daisy reminded me of...MIDDLE SCHOOL!!! It was soo hilarious and soo sweet when he got that nervous around her. OK, Lyndee. Did you read it? See how much cuter that is than facebook stalkers?! I don't really know what Gatsby and Daisy reminded me of, I just know that it can't end happily. It's a tragedy...duh. I'm pretty sure Gatsby's gonna bite the dust, push up the daisies, join the choir invisible, become an ex-person, if you will. Hey, if Gatsby dies, Daisy had better not die...I would be super angry. I never really cared for Romeo and Juliet.. woah, that random music video that we watched yesterday just popped into my head. "I would do anything for love..." Oh, wait!! MAJOR CONNECTION!! Is that song basically Gatsby's story? He was like a beast until he found Daisy again? Wait, again...Does that mean that Gatsby is running from the authorities? Thanks Megan, now I believe your conspiracy theory. If Gatsby doesn't sing, I would be fine with it... I really love this book, but I didn't get the chance to read ahead last night. We will tape Megan's mouth shut if she tries to tell us what happens! Nothing personal, Megan :)
Gatsby and Daisy remind me of the steriotypical "movie" couple. The only hitch is the whole daisy being married thing because usually the couple who are "in love" are not married and just have to fall in love with each other. Like toher people said i was reminded of the notebook over and over. It's kinda like their first meeting after not seeing each other for a very long time. And just so everyone knows...I now find this whole creepy love thing to be a little less creepy. It's a little bit cute, but I still think its a tad creepy (note that before my only feeling about it were that it creeped me out).
Gatsby and Daisy remind me of the two people on titanic but without the sinking boat, large icebergs, thousands of dead people and naked pictures.its like that because they arent supposed to be with each other but they are. there love for each other may be forbidden but i guess it is increased because of it.
ok first of all... OH MY FREAKIN GOSH TWILIGHT IS THE BEST MOVIE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!! anyways.... i though this chapter was really really funny. they remind me of like 8th grade relationships when things are really awkward and you like hate even looking at each other.... they're both kinda pathetic. and oh my goodness what was ait with the shirts???? and i think it was really funny how Gatsby had to make sure Nicks house was all presentable and stuff. My goodness like she's going to care. It's not even your house. Uh so yeah they shouold just get married and live happily ever after and run away. And it was just really cute and all with the nervousness. Yup... OH MY GOODNESS :D :D :D :D :D: :D:D
a couple meeting for the first time. When they describe their meeting, they let us know that it was very awkward but ended up getting better as time passed by.I think this is like any couple meeting for the first time because they never know what to say, and like Gatsby, they don't want to mess anything up. Once they start to loosen up, they realize that they have more to talk about and if they really like each other (it seems to me that Gatsby and Daisy do) they forget about everything and everyone in the room (Nick).
I also have another theory about whats happening in this story. Daisy is just in it for his money and is just thinking "Since my husband cheats on me and treats me like poop, why not get this freak who stalks me and is willing to do ANYTHING I want him to do to make me happy. And hey.. he's rich, let's just add a bonus to the list!"
Just kidding though, I really want them to get together because I think it will be good for Gatsby and maybe he'll start attending his own parties!
PS.. Mrs. Svob, Sorry for texting you after Twilight got out but you have to realize, when you told our class not to, THAT AUTOMATICALLY TOLD ME YOU WANTED ME TO!!!! Hope I didn't wake you,
The relationship between Daisy and Gatsby reminded me of an awkward 6th grade relationship. they both obviously have feelings for each other, but are too embarrassed to admit it. i found it extremely entertaining to read about it. even reading the scene makes you feel uncomfortable. Daisy is the one whole controls her emotions better. she feels just as awkward as Gatsby, but doesn't show it as much. Gatsby definitely doesn't act his age. he wouldn't go in the room alone with Daisy until Nick confronted him. Here is my prediction for the end of the book: Gatsby and Daisy get together. Tom gets jealous and ends up somehow killing Gatby. Daisy either gets killed by Tom or commits suicide because she can't imagine living without Gastby. i think Nick will make it through alive, but he might die too. if he survives, he will end up with Jordan. Then they will live happily ever after in Gatsby's mansion throwing parties in his honor. unless the house burns down. hmmm....
hola mi amigos. ?tu hablas espanol? Mu hahaha
hey svob your probably in ADD english class right now, but i am just posting the blog now bc i didn't really have time to do all of my homework last night. i kinda got sick and threw up like 3 times last night so im just now blogging..hah ne way.. Gatsby and Daisy remind me of the movie the notebook. They remind me of the guy and the girl in that movie, i can't remember there names, but i hope you no what i mean. Gatsby is like the boy in the movie bc he has loved this one girl for so long and when they meet again, he feels awkard and speechless towards her bc he has so much to say, after the long years apart (jus like in the movie). Daisy is like the girl bc she also feels awkard with him when they meet and can hide her feelings better than the boy, but deep down she still loves him too, and has so much to say. In the end the two ppl in the notebook get back together and live together the rest of there lives.. and in Gatsby and Daisy's case i hope that they end up the same way, bc i love a good ending!! :) i hope im not just rambling on here, and i hpe this makes some sense, but im still not feeling well so if it sounds confusing, sorry.ha
PS. Svob, i have my sorce cards and outline done, but is it ok if i just turn them into you on sunday? bc i don't no when else i would give em to you?
Tink--Hope you get to feeling better soon! Go ahead and bring those things on Sunday; I'll look at them then. Be sure to read Ch. 6-7 for this weekend!
Sorry this is late Mrs. Svoboda. I had absolutely no access to a computer. I did read though!
I have to say, that soooooooooooo reminds me of some random high school relationship in which a guy tries to get a girl by talking to all of the girl's friends and setting up a random lunch date where he will "magically" be there. So cute. When I read it I almost had to reach for the trash can, it almost made me sick. (sorry Cherie, you missed that part when you were sleeping).
Although I didn't like how Gatsby took her over to his house and kind of showed her around EVERYTHING like he was king of the world. If she loves you, she won't care. Oh wait, I forgot! Daisy's an airhead! She will care! Just kidding.
And the cute little green light also made me want to hurl. And I was in a van with seven sleeping people when I read it. I was so frustrated I almost cried. (I finished the story as well.)
And poor nick. He just pretty much was stuck in the most awkward situation in the world and had to pretend that he had NO IDEA what was going on. Hmmmmmm. That just sounds icky.

I HAVE SO MANY STORIES TO TELL OF RIDICULOUS PEOPLE THAT THE CLASS WILL ENJOY!!!
i don't like this journal in the non ? format..too open..i wonder if adam's tagging thing works he posted too many times anyway...they really didn't remind me of anything..while reading i found that the lighting in my room sucks..and makes me want to sleep..it was kinda awkward, totally unexpected probably at the beginning, gatsby probably thought it was going to be oh wow hug hug rejoice yay, but i can see the awkwardness. i guess it would have to remind me of seeing my chinese friends/classmates after 5 years and just standing there for approximately 30 min bc no one had anything to say. I expected someone to say sth, and i thought i'd have much to say but the boys ended up leaving bc idk why, so the rest of us (girls duh) walked around..and then ate..eventually got to talking. I thought it was kinda weird how he didn't really react when daisy hugged him..and i thought nick wasn't being polite, well it's kinda the others fault they made him stay, but still, asking about rubies?? he knew he was (in a way) being used to get hte two together..leave them alone? oh yea they can also remind me of the cheesy movies of romance. and to katelyn (concerning an earlier comment at school today) i'm really okay w/ chickflicks...if its a good movie/show/musical/whatever..i mean everybody likes to dream even tho its nv gonna happen???
now going back to read the other 50 pgs...
JWVOTD ulain
ps the j should really be a y, or i, standing for imposter
Gatsby and Daisy reminded me of high school couples. They say they are sooooo in love, then one is gone for a little while and suddenly the significant other is not so significant any more. Gatsby went off to war, and Daisy moved on and married Tom because she was impatient, and Gatsby was left out in the cold, but apparently, they still love each other, but in an impossible-never-going-to-happen-in-a-million-years kind of way.
Also, Gatsby amuses me. He is so eager to hook up with Daisy, and basically forces Nick to comply with the plan, and he arranges everything, but when Daisy actually arrives, Gatsby kind of has a mental breakdown. Then Nick makes him get a grip, and he leaves them alone inside his house while he goes out and stands in the pouring rain, and upon his re-entrance, Gatsby and Daisy are making googly eyes at each other and planning how to get away from Tom. Aren't cheating, lying, adulterous couples adorable?

I wonder what our journals would look like if ahem SOMEONE... would enable all tags..
actually I don't think she can.
But if we could our journals would be liek large small text that could be in rainbow colors with profane pictures

Holly cupcakes batman.

BTW
If you see the JWVOTD thing at the bottom, then it's me (Jake).
(Goodfellas was on HBO)
ok first thing i have to say is twilight was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! a few hiccups but really really good!!!
sorry about that
gatsby and daisy remind me of edward and bella!! kinda but not really
they are all weird and cute and cute and stuff awwww!!!! and the shirt line is the funniest thing in the whole book sorry about all the randomness
i love how gatsby is all trying to make sure everything is perfect everywhere that they might go and its kinda funny that nick stands in the rain for an hour waiting for it to stop raining so they can have alone time....ow ow!!!! lol jk
i had a red bulls well more like 3 or 4 and im between the crash and the high hehe
twilight was amazing see it boys too
peace

Nothing personal, Megan :)
sorry, my last username was too long...
Bejeebers Robin
ok first of all...
Gatsby and Daisy remind me of. . .
a couple meeting for the first time.
PS.. Mrs. Svob,
Sorry for texting you after Twilight got out but you have to realize, when you told our class not to, THAT AUTOMATICALLY TOLD ME YOU WANTED ME TO!!!! Hope I didn't wake you,
LOVE YOU! :D
Mu hahaha
hey svob your probably in ADD english class right now, but i am just posting the blog now bc i didn't really have time to do all of my homework last night. i kinda got sick and threw up like 3 times last night so im just now blogging..hah
ne way..
i hope im not just rambling on here, and i hpe this makes some sense, but im still not feeling well so if it sounds confusing, sorry.ha

I HAVE SO MANY STORIES TO TELL OF RIDICULOUS PEOPLE THAT THE CLASS WILL ENJOY!!!
i don't like this journal in the non ? format..too open..i wonder if adam's tagging thing works he posted too many times
anyway...they really didn't remind me of anything..while reading i found that the lighting in my room sucks..and makes me want to sleep..it was kinda awkward, totally unexpected probably at the beginning, gatsby probably thought it was going to be oh wow hug hug rejoice yay, but i can see the awkwardness. i guess it would have to remind me of seeing my chinese friends/classmates after 5 years and just standing there for approximately 30 min bc no one had anything to say. I expected someone to say sth, and i thought i'd have much to say but the boys ended up leaving bc idk why, so the rest of us (girls duh) walked around..and then ate..eventually got to talking. I thought it was kinda weird how he didn't really react when daisy hugged him..and i thought nick wasn't being polite, well it's kinda the others fault they made him stay, but still, asking about rubies?? he knew he was (in a way) being used to get hte two together..leave them alone? oh yea they can also remind me of the cheesy movies of romance. and to katelyn (concerning an earlier comment at school today) i'm really okay w/ chickflicks...if its a good movie/show/musical/whatever..i mean everybody likes to dream even tho its nv gonna happen???
now going back to read the other 50 pgs...

sorry i just had to post this...word verification...nongshi..reminds me of this azn instant noodles
